Pensar em vírus de BIOS é algo tão surreal como mitos relacionados ao filme Matrix, é um assunto bastante interessante e quase inacreditável ! por que alguém perderia tanto tempo desenvolvendo um sistema tão complexo e caro como este ? sem dúvida algo assim não sairia das mãos de um nerd querendo infestar o mundo com um tipo de malware diferente.
Para quem não sabe, o BIOS não tem nada a ver com o microprocessador, sempre que vemos um Chip quadrado já se associamos ao microprocessador e na maioria dos chips Intel, mas o BIOS não é isto ! embora seja um chip também.
Um Malware no BIOS sempre foi algo previsivel ! existe de fato uma “gerra cibernética” acontecendo em modo background, está lá … mas ninguém admite que está.
Dados valiosos são capturados por governos que ultilizam nem sempre para sua segurança, mas para ter também vantagem econômica, e isto é óbvio ! E considerando que a China é a maior distribuidora de hardware, até a Apple constroi na China devido a mão de obra extremamente barata.
A coisas saem da china ! a duplicação de equipamento, a fabricação de projetos similares, e sempre vem com eles, o BIOS, que não é o microprocessador, mas o BIOS tem o primeiro programa que o computador executa quando ligamos, o BIOS sem dúvida pode ser comparada ao mordomo de uma festa ! é bem imperceptivel, mas sem ele ninguém iria saborear nada; o BIOS examina o PC inteiro antes de enviar o comando ao sistema, o BIOS verifica se o PC tem memória, se tem Disco, etc … e se estiver tudo bem, ela envia o comando para o sistema operacional, então ela chama o programa MBR (Master Boot Record) que se encarrega de chamar o sistema operacional instalado.
No caso, parte do virus fica no BIOS, ele sempre traz a segunda parte ( e maior ) para a primeira trilha e depois se executa ! se tirarmos este virus da trilha zero, na proxima vez que ligarmos o PC, ele vai trazer a segunda parte e ressucitar sua maior parte, e daí … como tirar esta parte nociva do BIOS ?
O NSA (centro de investigação do governo americano) acusou os chineses de produzir um vírus de BIOS que destroi o computador, um exagero ! ele pode realmente se quiser formatar quantas vezes quiser o sistema do PC, mas destruir fisicamente ou queimar coisas, é uma idéia um pouco infantil ! o que mostra como a NSA tem uma rixa forte com o centro de investigação Chinês ! mas ninguém é inocente nesta história !
